Account Manager
We’re looking for an account manager to manage current and future company accounts. The successful applicant will communicate with customers and suppliers by telephone and email to request orders, quotations, and fulfillment. This position will also require the ability to build and establish relationships with new vendors, and customers. Some daily responsibilities include: building quotations in reply to RFQ’s, tracking shipments, and communicating pertinent information to senior sales staff. The successful applicant will handle project execution actions and overall coordination of fulfillment. In addition, the Account Manager will build relationships with clients to encourage new and repeat business opportunities. The successful applicant may also be asked to perform daily operations and personal assistant requests.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Manage all current and future customer accounts
- Harvesting existing client relationships by introducing them to our product line on a regular basis – proactively stay in contact with existing clients and promoting monthly specials, new brands and product lines
- Communicate, and negotiate with vendors to ensure best possible prices, lead times, and options for customer requests.
- Building quotes for customers, and recommend alternate products based on cost, availability, and specifications. Provide creative recommendations and ensure you are up to date with the industry trends.
- Building and establishing new relationships with vendors, and customers.
- Coordinating with vendors, and sales managers to ensure the delivery commitment to clients is met.
- Provides regular two-way communication between the client and team, to provide strong team representation and set proper client expectations.
- Capturing of accurate and complete information in Customer Relationship Management system (CRM). Logging and tracking sales initiatives daily.
- Participating fully in training sessions, meetings, company updates, skill building and professional development exercises.
- Reports to the Account Director, providing regular input on all account activity, including status and call reports on a weekly basis.
- Updating and maintaining product database (data entry and management)
- General office tasks (arranging shipments, errands, personal assistant work)

- Able to work in a fast-paced, self-directed entrepreneurial environment
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Highly proficient level computer skills including MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook
- Excellent telephone sales personality skills
- Prominent organization and presentation skills
- Excellent time management skills
- Highly energetic and self-starter
- Decision-making, problem resolution and creative thinking skills
- Able to multi-task the activities with shifting priorities
- Should be honest, assertive and systematic
- Motivated, goal oriented, persistent and a skilled negotiator is a must
Education and Qualifications
- Diploma or degree required (preferably in marketing, or business)
- Minimum 1 year of account management (inside sales) experience
